These Are The Shoes All The Cool Kids Are Wearing
Remember when you used to wear StrideRite sneakers like you were the coolest kid on the block? Well, it looks like times have changed. Seriously, if you were a kid today, your sense of fashionable footwear would be, well, totally be out. Eddie Quintana of Sesame Step Shoes in Miami tells WWD that these days, kids are trading in their light-up sneaks for designer Kenneth Cole ballet flats.
We’re glad Miami kids are giving up their Velcro sandals, really, we are. But we’re just not sure how we feel about that fact that kids (and not just Suri) potentially have more designer pieces than we do. Other top sellers include metallic Sperry topsiders and Umi girls’ driving moccasins. And at the Nordstrom in Village of Merrick Park, little girls are falling for retro Converse sneaks and the TOMS’ give-back options (hey at least the big spending is for a cause!). What do you think? Designer shoes: totally kid-friendly, or way too spendy?
Guess it’s time we up our designer shoe game, when little girls glitter flats are outshining your footwear.
