Burberry just announced the launch of their new eyewear campaign for spring ’12. What’s in it for us besides a new pair of sunnies for the blinding light? Well, leave it to Burberry to keep us completely in the dark. Take a look at this 20-second teaser (definitely lives up to the name!) and help us make sense of it. We keep asking ourselves, where are the sunglasses? And, who’s behind the guitars and violin? Until April 4 when all is revealed, we’ll be waiting, scratching our heads.
We’ve found the solution to those bad hair days! Here’s a sensibly chic up-do that’s messy in all the right ways, but still very simple to pull off.
Head of Design Emma Farrow always cuts a dash as she walks through the offices at Topshop HQ. Tall and willowy, she’s always wearing something incredible that all the girls try to catch a glimpse of as she strides through – whether it’s a long breezy shirt with unusual backless cut-outs or wide-legged pants that look great on her tall frame, she always works a look with total confidence.
And ELLE has obviously picked up on this, because they recently interviewed the designer about her style for their My Style section of the website, in which they focus on people in the industry who have amazing style – Olivia Palermo and Lulu Kennedy have been previous participants, so Emma’s in good company!
In the interview, we learn what Emma once did for two pairs of Prada shoes (kids, don’t try this at home!), what wardrobe essential she can’t live without, and the curious item that she collects
Campus washing machines are great for three months’ worth of sweaty stuff, but when it comes to delicates, those high-efficiency, industrial-grade washers and dryers are just too tough for your darling unmentionables. So, unless you’re willing to hand-wash your thongs in the common room sink, you’re stuck with heavy-duty cotton, right? Wrong!
Thanks to the wonders of machine-made lace, polyester and other modern miracles, there’s plenty of after-hours gear that’s a lot tougher than it looks. Never again do you have to sacrifice sexy in favor of – erm – sturdier down-under options. These tiny underthings have all the cuteness of your hand washables, but with the endurance of your grandmother’s bloomers!
We know, we know, lookbooks are a dime a dozen these days, and that’s exactly why we always set our sights high — on the lookout for something sick to pique your interest (no more snoozy beach shots allowed!). Well, CRYBABY Presents paired up with shutterbug Logan White to render an extremely unique montage of images, showing off their just-as-conceptual line of clothing. The RISD rockstars are coming at us surrealist style with “Collection No. 1,” a cool-girl combo of modern, edgy and feminine staples. Cruise through these trippy snaps that conjure a Lost kind of vibe, but in a really chic way (you’ll see what we mean). Forget the lookbook — pink hair, easy silhouettes, and an exotic locale make for solid coffee table fodder, really.
