Cool jewelry is not exactly hard to come by these days with the crazy amount of talented (and innovative) jewelers in our midst. But, every once in a while one brand stands out for something other than looks. And we can’t help but be a little pleased with ourselves for the two-in-one find.
For example, not only does L.A.-based jewelry company Kora feature stunning and cool accessories, they also produce them in a way that is both different and responsible. All KORA (which means “work” in Kinyarwanda) pieces are made by artists in developing communities in Africa using locally found recycled materials. The designers use their “trade not aid” philosophy to benefit local communities long-term, rather than making a one-time donation.
But in addition to being responsible human beings, the team behind Kora also produces some great designs that would be on our wish lists regardless of their story (although, obvi, it’s a plus). Geometric shapes with triangle bib-necklaces, thick hammered cuffs, and diamond-shaped rings (not that kind) dominate the lookbook and our imaginary (yet inevitable) fall wardrobe.

Diane von Furstenberg knows what women want. Now with a new head designer, a growing list of side projects, an epic social media following, and a whole new generation of women to inspire, the woman who brought us the wrapdress is just getting started
If you’re the kind of girl who would walk down the aisle rocking neon tips and nail art, then we say congrats to your soon-to-be hubby — he’s about to lock down one awesome lady. But not everyone is comfortable with color, which is why the majority of wedding polishes tend to be barely-there pinks and creams. Boring.
There’s no reason you can’t wear color on your digits for your big day — it can look really gorgeous without being garish, despite what your new mother-in-law might say. But if you’re hesitant to go for full-blown rainbow hues on your tips, there’s still a way to punch up your polish without stepping too far outside your comfort zone.
Essie's '12 Bridal Collection features four creamy, candy-hued polishes to accent your soon-to-have-a-ring-on-it fingers. There's reflective pink Like To Be Bad, mint green Who Is The Boss, glittery white Instant Hot, and lilac Love & Acceptance. The colors are described as a collection that "celebrates brides who are confident and want to have fun with color, yet with a nod to tradition." Sounds about right to us! How about you? Would you strut down the aisle in one of these shades?
