Just when we thought that Florence Welch — that Grammy-nominated force of musical nature — couldn’t impress us anymore, we were…partially right. The U.K. songbird (and sometimes Karl Lagerfeld muse) has just opened Flotique, a small online shop of accessories.
Rather than be plastered with Florence + The Machine logos or other likenesses, the small collection of jewelry is a slightly more abstract way to show your musical allegiance. Colored chain hangs from cutout circles and triangles to form dangly earrings or pendants. The collection’s sole bracelet cuff is an update from those metal health bracelets that were all the rage a little while ago. There’s also a ring in the shape of a birdcage — ’nuff said.
While we can’t say that it’s the best piece of art Welch has ever created, it is most definitely a fun way to wear your musical preference…should you ever get bored of a classic band tee, that is.

A model-turned-actor-turned-designer is hardly news. But, a rapper-turned-fashion-aficionado-turned-sheriff? Well, that’s not a career switch we see every day…at least, not until we met Theophilus London.
We caught up with the rapper at MADE Fashion Week, and as we found out, it’s not only Hedi Slimane who’s got a fascination with the Wild West. London is about one stirrup away from starring in a John Wayne movie. And he’s got the sheriff badge to prove it.
Aside from peppermint tea juleps and hot buttered rum, our favorite way to enjoy cold, snowy weather is by cozying up by the fire in warm knits. Unfortunately, braving the winter from inside isn’t always an option.
And, while we love to layer, throwing on sweater over sweater (over sweater) often leads to cold-weather bulk (not a good look, friends), so it’s important to search for hefty fabrics that won’t bunch, hang, or add cumbersome, bulky volume. Case in point: angora.
Because angora wool is a soft, down-like fiber that offers substantial warmth (don’t worry, it’s safely and painlessly sheared from the rabbit!), you’ll be able to layer up and move comfortably. As a bonus, unlike merino or cotton blends, angora keeps its shape, so pieces made with the fiber are fit for all-day wear. Since we suspect you want your winter wardrobe to be as warm as possible, we rounded up a dozen decidedly chic sweaters, each woven with a portion of angora rabbit hair. Now get on out there and enjoy the cold — or at least look good while you try.

Even the harshest critic would have to admit that Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway are fairly attractive individuals. Consequently, transforming these top-shelf lookers into the underfed, unwashed, singing gutter feeders of Les Misérables did require a bit of elbow-grease. Aside from chopping off everyone’s hair with garden shears, makeup artists added bloodshot contacts, fake grungy teeth, and chunky, textured make-up that completely changed the look of some of Hollywood’s most beautiful people. We, for instance, didn’t see Jackman’s contacts during our own tear-soaked screening of the soon-to-be-released film (jealous, much?), but we did worry for a believably jaundiced Annie. (Also, we loved the tidbit of Helena Bonham Carter dyeing her wig with coffee!) Click play for an engaging look at the magic that made these handsome people look appropriately retched.
